Trevor Noah returned tonight and had to relay to his audience that Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee barring something unprecedented. And, um, he didn’t really know how to process that.
He mocked Trump’s wife Melania for “speak[ing] immigrant” in defiance of her husband’s beliefs before moving on to the tragedy of South Carolina: Jeb Bush.
“His campaign died as it lived,” Noah declared, “standing in awkward silence.”
And yes, he sent off Bush in the most epic way imaginable, including the expected “please clap.”
