Benghazi Committee chair Trey Gowdy affirmed today that he plans to release the committee’s big report before the presidential conventions in July.
Chuck Todd pressed him on MTP Daily about the long hold-up for the report, saying, “Every day your report doesn’t come out, the more political it looks, no?”
Gowdy insisted he wanted it to come out last year, but they’re still owed documents by government agencies that, he said, aren’t exactly being terribly cooperative.
Todd asked him if he feels an obligation to release it before the conventions. Gowdy confirmed they will be, while still making it clear there’s information they still need access to.
And when it’s out there, he said, people can read it for themselves and draw conclusions, not just take his word on it.
