During an appearance on MSNBC this afternoon, Donald Trump adviser Barry Bennett disputed the characterization of Michelle Fields as a “reporter.”
Bennett said that the people of Wisconsin “don’t really care” about the battery case against Corey Lewandowski, saying, “They know that that’s not battery.”
MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts pointed out that Fields was a reporter from Breitbart, a right-leaning publication, at the time.
Bennett then said, “I don’t think this particular woman––You and I can argue what the classification of reporter is. I think you’re a reporter. I don’t know what she is.”
