President Donald Trump attacked “sleepy eyed” Chuck Todd of NBC News while on Fox News today, saying the Meet the Press host “shouldn’t even be on [his] show.”

Trump’s insults against Todd were triggered by the NBC News anchor’s coverage of the administration’s recent negotiations with North Korea, since the president denied “giving up so much” to North Korea for nothing.

The president made the comments while appearing on his favorite morning show Fox & Friends:

“It was more than hello. They got along. They were with each other more than an hour. They spoke. He also spoke with his counterparts in North Korea. They had a great meeting. He then left. It was very, very secret. Very, very quiet. Had a great meeting and he left. When I watch, like I watched sleepy-eyes Chuck Todd the other day, saying, ‘Why is the president giving up so much and North Korea is giving up nothing?’ This is at the beginning of ‘Meet the Press.’ And I mean, this guy shouldn’t even be on the show. I said, wait a minute, it’s just the opposite. I haven’t given up anything. I haven’t even talked about it.”

He also said the relationship between the US and DPRK was “very, very nasty” when the Olympics happened in South Korea earlier this year, since “little

rocket man” had his “buttons” and Trump had “my button.”

Trump also bashed former President Barack Obama‘s foreign policy tactics during the interview and claimed former Secretary of State John Kerry is “the worst negotiator I’ve ever seen.” His ire for the previous administration’s international relations was based on the Iran deal, which Trump insists the US “should have left.”
