Trump at Houston Shelter: ‘As Tough as This Was, It’s Been a Wonderful Thing’

President Trump made some brief remarks reporters at a Houston shelter this afternoon.

The President met with hurricane victims and helped distribute meals on his second trip to Texas this week, telling reporters, “As tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing, I think, even for the country to watch and for the world to watch.”

He said people are “really happy with what’s going on,” saying, “It’s been very well-received.”

Trump added, to the reporters present, “Even by you guys it’s been very well-received.”

When asked about the flooding, the President said, “There’s a lot of water. But it’s leaving pretty quickly. But there’s a lot of water. A lot of water. But it’s moving out.”

He also said they’re “signing a lot of documents” now to make sure hurricane relief funding gets approves.
