President Donald Trump railed against Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer in his speech at a pro-life gala on Tuesday night, claiming the House Minority Leader supports violent gang MS-13.
Trump took a number of shots at Democrats at the Susan B. Anthony Campaign for Life Gala, claiming that if the Democratic party came into power they would “try to put up the taxes, so many things, open those borders.”
“They don’t want walls, they don’t want other people stopping,” Trump said. ” And the other day, just the other day, Nancy Pelosi came out in favor of MS-13.”
“That’s the first time I’ve heard that,” Trump continued. “She wants them to be treated with respect, as do other Democrats. That’s not going to be happening.”
Trump sparked a controversy last week when he referred to members of the gang as “animals,” a remark that was misconstrued by some in the media as referring to all immigrants. His exact wording was imprecise, and drew rebukes from many Democrats, including Pelosi.
Pelosi responded to Trump’s latest broadside on Twitter, making a reference to his deportation policies for undocumented immigrants:

MS-13 is a brutal gang started in Los Angeles in the 1990s by Salvadoran immigrants. Today, the gang is known for face tattoos, brutal practices, and horrific murders, active most prominently in Suffolk County, Long Island and Fairfax County, Virginia.
