Trump Boasts ‘Everybody Wants to Work’ For Him: They All Want a ‘Piece of the Oval Office’
At today’s joint news conference with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, President Donald Trump was asked about reports that the White House is in chaos, dealing with low staffer morale, and having trouble finding qualified people who want to work there. According to the president, this is all untrue.
After declining to comment on whether he wants to get rid of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the president boasted about the “tremendous energy” and “spirit” in the White House.
“It is a great place to be working,” POTUS declared. “Many, many people want every single job.”
Addressing the reports that people don’t want to work for his administration, Trump stated that “everybody wants to work in the White House.”
He continued, “They all want a piece of the Oval Office — they want a piece of the West Wing.”
The president went on to say that he “likes conflict” and people with “different points of view,” adding that there will be some people that will change but that they “always change.”
Meanwhile, the president has recently seen many senior officials leave the White House, including communications director — and confidante — Hope Hicks. It has also been reported that staffers are trying to leave the administration but are having trouble finding new jobs.
