Donald Trump bragged at his North Carolina rally tonight about how the media lets him call into shows.
Trump started by bringing up Bill O’Reilly and told the crowd that he’s on tonight, mentioning specifically that he did a call-in interview.
And then Trump said this:
“It’s always good when they take you by phone, that means you’re hot! You know, if you can do it by phone, when you start getting asked––I say, ‘I’m sorry, I won’t be able to do it, I’m on a plane, I’m going to North Carolina’––’How about by phone?’ They don’t do phones, right? You ever see anybody call into Bill O’Reilly?… We do phoners to Meet the Press, we do phoners to Face the Nation, This Week! It’s so much easier, folks!”
He proceeded to mimic one of those phone calls, going, “You sit at home, ‘Hi, how you doing, how’s everything going? How’s the world?'”
