Trump Claims Clinton Bias, Blasts Stephanopoulos on Taxes: ‘It’s None Of Your Business!’
In a quickly heated exchange on Friday’s morning’s GMA, host George Stephanopoulos got an ear full from the presumptive nominee of the Republican party, who went as far as to call out the anchor’s past work and relationship with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Stephanopoulos and Donald Trump discussed the ongoing email saga in which Clinton used a private email server during her time working for the State Department. The real estate mogul fiercely attacked the situation, claiming, “She’s got emails missing all over the place! The whole thing’s a scam.”
“I know she’s a good friend of yours, and that you worked for her,” Trump charged at Stephanopoulos, before continuing, “Though I know you didn’t reveal it. But there are a lot of emails missing.” Stephanopoulos served as the White House Director of Communications during the Clinton administration in the 1990s, and has donated to the Clinton Foundation for several years.
The two went back and forth regarding the tax returns of the real estate mogul that have become a front-and-center sticking point of the campaign in recent days. When pushed by Stephanopoulos to identify his tax rate, Trump shot back defiantly, “It’s none of your business!”
Trump’s response when asked about the potential time frame to release the tax information that many are calling for, he replied, “I hope it’s before the election,” though has made no promises of that exact window.
