Trump Clarifies Second Amendment Comment: It Was About Harnessing ‘Political Power’
Donald Trump has given his first public comments in reaction to the controversy over his comments about “Second Amendment people” stopping Hillary Clinton.
In an interview with WNCN, Trump said he’s talking about the “tremendous political power” of people who support the Second Amendment.
He praised them as strong and united and said this:
“If Hillary Clinton gets elected, I think she’s going to decimate the Second Amendment, if not abolish it. And she’ll do that through judges, through the justices of the Supreme Court. But the Second Amendment people have tremendous power because they’re so united.”
