President Donald Trump continued to battle the late Senator John McCain over his foreign policy, which he described as a “disaster” that brought the country to a new low since 19 years ago. He added that he “wasn’t a fan” of the late senator.
“I endorsed him at his request and I gave him the kind of funeral that he wanted, which as president I had to approve,” Trump told a military audience Wednesday. “I don’t care about this, I didn’t get a ‘thank you’ and that’s okay.”
Trump said he didn’t want to talk about his thoughts on McCain, but the press kept asking him for it.
“Not my kind of guy, but some people like him, and I think that’s great,” said Trump, moving on to other military-related topics.
