“Frankly, that was just going to happen,” Trump crowed. “I knew it immediately when they announced it. Rosie fails at everything. She had a variety show, it failed. I mean, she — I don’t understand now, somebody else, some moron will come and hire her again to do something else and that will fail. At some point, let her rest. Let her go away. She’ll never make it and I’ve said it for years. She’ll never make it! She must have a very good agent.”
“What about the Winfrey Network?” co-host Steve Doocy enthusiastically exclaimed. “I mean, nobody’s watching that!”
While Trump was happy to pick on O’Donnell, he was more hesitant to mock Winfrey.
“Well, I don’t know,” Trump hedged. “I mean, Oprah is a great friend of mine. I did one of her last shows and I think she’s a terrific person but I disagreed with her hiring, I said that’s the beginning of the end with Rosie. But Oprah is a terrific person. She’ll always do fine.”
