Trump Goes Off: Looking at Origins of Mueller Report, You Could Say People Did ‘Treasonous’ Things

President Donald Trump lashed out at the Mueller investigation again on Tuesday, repeatedly referring to the origins of the probe and the premises on which it was predicated. He not only said people did things that were “illegal” in the investigation, but suggested they may rise to the level of “treasonous” acts.

Trump said to the press that if “you look at the origin of the investigation, where it started, how it started, who started it,” and “how high up in the White House” it went, they would “all get Pulitzer Prizes.”

After going back over his objections, he said “this has been a very bad thing for the United States, it’s been a total waste of time.”

“But what hasn’t been a waste of time is, some very bad people started something that should have never been started,” he said, and that he hoped investigation into that would go forward.

“People did things that were very, very bad for our country and very, very illegal,” said Trump. “And you could even say treasonous.”
