Donald Trump is forcing everyone to take him seriously as a Republican candidate, by making the surprise decision to actually follow up on the threat this time. And he’s been doing interviews all over the place to boast about his record, his TV show, his book, how much people like him… you get the idea.
One of those interviews today was with Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. At one point, they asked the celebrity billionaire about his “insecurities.”
Trump––surprise surprise––doesn’t have many insecurities and he believes himself to be a pretty confident person. He continued to brag about himself before bringing up “some person say[ing] he doesn’t deserve to be on the debate stage with a senator.”
“The senator is nothing,” Trump said. “And I’m not saying senators are nothing, I’m saying certain people are zeroes, and I’m not supposed to be on the stage with these people? I mean, give me a break.”
He didn’t name names, but later on in the interview, Trump took varying degrees of shots at Scott Walker, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and Mike Huckabee.
