Trump Mocks CNN: They’re Telling Me How to Run Campaign But ‘I’m President and They’re Not’

It wouldn’t be a Trump rally without some rote media-bashing, and in Montana this afternoon President Donald Trump teed off on both CNN and MSNBC.

He groused a bit about the media criticizing him for not talking about the economy more and focusing so much on immigration, “like they’re doing me favors, right?”

“CNN is telling me how to run the campaign,” Trump continued, “but in the meantime, I’m President and they’re not. And their ratings aren’t very good either.”

He suggested maybe they could give him “one out of 10, one out of 20 good stories” to balance out all the negative coverage.

“Give me anything!” he said.

But while CNN generally gets the brunt of Trump’s ire, he doesn’t talk about MSNBC as much. Well, for some reason he decided to riff on them too today, calling them fake news as well and saying, “MSNBC is probably worse than CNN.”
