Trump on Fiorina Attack: ‘I Was Talking About Persona,’ Not Looks

fiorina trumpRepublican frontrunner Donald Trump said on Fox & Friends Thursday that he wasn’t attacking Carly Fiorina’s looks when he told Rolling Stone magazine, “Look at that face!”

“Probably, I did say something like that about Carly,” Trump told those who thought he may have been misquoted because, you know, it was Rolling Stone.

“I’m talking about persona. I’m not talking about looks,” he argued. “Although when I get criticized about my hair… nobody does a story, ‘Oh, isn’t that terrible, they criticized Donald Trump’s hair.’”

“The fact is, I probably did say something like that about Carly in a jocular manner,” he repeated. “She is at me constantly.”

“So what you’re saying is, you didn’t comment about her physical appearance, you were commenting about the way she holds herself?” asked host Brian Kilmeade.

“It’s about the persona. It’s about the persona. And I say that about a lot of people,” Trump said.
