Trump on Impending DACA Decision: ‘We Love the DREAMers, We Love Everybody’

President Trump told reporters that his final decision on DACA could come at any time in the near future.

The president allowed the press to join him and his religious advisors in the Oval Office today, where he declared Sunday a National Day of Prayer for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. During this gaggle, ABC’s Cecilia Vega asked Trump when he would announce his plans for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

After Trump said he’d make his announcement “sometime today or over the weekend,” Vega followed up by asking if DREAMers ought to be “worried.”

“We love the DREAMers, we love everybody,” Trump said, leaving it at that.

While the Trump Administration is facing pressure to terminate the program, House Speaker Paul Ryan and other congressional leaders are urging the president not to do so.
