Donald Trump went on a little rant during a New Hampshire rally this morning about Glenn Beck, who he deemed “dopey” (multiple times) and an “idiot.”
Beck was on with Bill O’Reilly last night and said that Trump is the kind of Republican progressive he’s been warning his audience about him for years––a Republican Obama who will use the same old platitudes.
He claimed that Trump voted for President Obama in 2008. For the record, Trump had words of praise for Obama in ’08, but he publicly endorsed McCain.
Trump reacted to Beck’s comments by calling him a “really dopey guy,” saying, “I’ve watched him cry on television all the time. He’s doing very badly. His thing is falling apart, his company is falling apart.”
He said Beck invited him on his show so many times, but he declined because of how busy he is, and after that Beck “started hitting me.”
Trump insisted he did plenty to fight for John McCain in 2008 “and I gotta listen to this idiot named Glenn Beck saying I’m for Barack Obama.”
