Trump Reportedly Sided With John Bolton in Shouting Match With John Kelly, But Denies Knowing About It

White House chief of staff John Kelly and national security adviser John Bolton began shouting at each other today while discussing a rise in border crossings, according to sources who spoke to CNN.

Amid the civil war between his leading officials, Donald Trump reportedly sided with Bolton, who sided with the president on border migration. One source described the encounter as a falling out between the two aides.

Trump woke up this morning angry about the situation at the border, even threatening to shut down immigration into the country if solutions aren’t found.

The White House declined to respond to CNN’s request for comment regarding the incident between Bolton and Kelly, although one anonymous individual who heard the shouting said it startled aides and is being talked about throughout the Trump administration. This has caused aides to speculate whether or not one of the men will leave the White House, but one official said the situation has deescalated and Kelly does not plan on retiring from his role.

The President was asked about it moments ago as he prepared to depart on Air Force One.

“That I have not heard about,” said Trump.
