Trump Slams Democrats for Not Applauding SOTU Speech: ‘They Sat There Stone Cold, No Smile’

As President Trump spoke before the Congressional GOP’s retreat in West Virginia today, he took a few shots at Democrats for their refusal to applaud him throughout his State of the Union speech.

As Trump boasted about the latest numbers on the national economy, he noted that he brought up these points during his national address this week, and yet, many people wouldn’t stand up for him. Trump clearly didn’t like that, not one bit.

“That’s something very, very special. And when I made that statement the other night, there was zero movement from the Democrats. They sat there stone cold, no smile, no applause. You would have thought that on that one, they would have sort of, at least clapped a little bit, which tells you, perhaps, they would rather see us not do well than see our country do great, and that’s not good. That’s not good. We have to change that.”
