Trump Taunts Utah Rep. Mia Love and Other Defeated GOPers Who Shunned Him in Surreal Presser: ‘Too Bad, Mia’

President Donald Trump used a portion of his post midterm-election press conference to swipe at the Republican candidates who lost their elections because, in his view, they didn’t show enough loyalty to him and his agenda.

As the president gave a measured opening statement while patting himself on the back for the GOP’s triumphs, he eventually brought up candidates who didn’t want him campaigning for them ahead of the election. He started by going after Rep. Mike Coffman (R-TX) and Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) — both of whom are projected to lose their election bids.

“Too bad, Mike,” Trump said dryly. He then took aim at Rep. Mia Love (R-UT), saying “Mia Love gave me no love. And she lost. Too bad. Sorry about that Mia.”

Trump also taunted Barbara Comstock, Peter Roskam, Erik Paulsen, John Faso and Bob Hugin for not embracing him more before they lost their races. He proceeded after that by bragging of the “tremendous support” he has in the Republican Party.
