Once again, President Trump is commenting about how he can fire people in his corner if they fail to deliver on the political successes he’s asking of them.
As Trump gave a speech at the National Boy Scouts Jamboree, he spoke about the various members of his administration who used to be scouts. Trump eventually brought up Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price (who was with him on stage) and Trump said Price better make sure the next push to reform health care succeeds, or else.
“You’re going to get the votes? He better get ’em. Oh, he better. Otherwise I’ll say, Tom, you’re fired. i’ll get somebody [else].”
As Trump talked about how the Boy Scouts reflect American values, he went off the cuff as he lamented about how there isn’t enough loyalty in the country.
“As the scout law says, a scout is trustworthy, loyal- we could use some more loyalty, I will tell you that.”
Earlier today, Trump went after Democratic “obstructionists” along with Republican senators who are holding up the latest effort to reform health care.
