Trump to Pirro: ‘I Don’t Care’ if Putin Conversation Becomes Public

President Donald Trump called into Jeanine Pirro‘s Fox News show on Saturday night, and railed against a new Washington Post report that Trump repeatedly sought to hide the contents of his Helsinki meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin from senior officials in his own administration.

When Pirro, a staunch supporter of Trump, asked the president why he wouldn’t release the conversation with Putin.

“Well Jeanine I would, I don’t care,” Trump replied. “I had a conversation like every president does. You sit with the president of various countries, I do it with all countries. We had a great conversation. We were talking about Israel and securing Israel and lots of other things. And it was a great conversation. I’m not keeping anything under wraps, I couldn’t care less. I mean, it’s so ridiculous.”

Trump claimed — without evidence — that the Washington Post was working on its owner Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, while taking a swipe at his ongoing divorce.

“These people make it up,” Trump said. “Washington Post, that’s basically the lobbyist for Amazon. You know, he uses that — Bezos has got bigger problems than anybody right now.”

The president added “that meeting is up for grabs,” before railing against the Russia investigation as a hoax.
