Trump, When Asked if Caravan Ad is Offensive: ‘A Lot of Things Are Offensive, Your Questions Are Offensive’

Before heading to the first of his three pre-election day rallies today, President Donald Trump spoke to reporters and got a question about the ad that networks either refused to run or pulled entirely.

The 30-second spot links an undocumented immigrant who killed sheriff’s deputies to the people in the migrant caravan. CNN publicly stated they refused to run the ad because it was racist. NBC, after being criticized for running the ad during Sunday Night Football, pulled it. Facebook has reportedly stopped running the ad, and even Fox News pulled it too.

One reporter asked Trump for his response, and Trump said, “I don’t know about it. I mean, you’re telling me something I don’t know about. We have a lot of ads, and they certainly are effective, based on the numbers that we’re seeing.”

When challenged on the ad being criticized as offensive, the President responded, “A lot of things are offensive. Your questions are offensive a lot of times.”
