Tucker Carlson Blasts Wilbur Ross for Comments About Federal Workers: An ‘Idiotic Thing to Say’

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson said tonight that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross‘ comments about federal workers suffering during the shutdown were “idiotic.”

Ross remarked on CNBC that he doesn’t understand why federal workers are going to homeless shelters to get food, saying they could just take out loans.

Carlson showed the clip off Ross after saying some Trump administration officials “seem intent on making Nancy Pelosi‘s case for her”:

“So more debt? More interest payments? That’s the solution? No, it’s not. Those are the last things that most Americans need. That was an idiotic thing to say. Look for Wilbur Ross’ words to be aired every day for the next three years on CNN, they know a propaganda win when they see one.”

Carlson said it’s a shame and a “distraction” because it doesn’t change the nature of the border security issue at the center of the shutdown fight.
