Tucker Carlson-Michael Avenatti Showdown Derails: Why Don’t You Call Trump the ‘Creepy Porn President’?!

Michael Avenatti has made himself a household name with a lengthy list of cable news interviews within the past year on networks like ABC, CNN and MSNBC, but his first interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson was perhaps the biggest show of them all.

During an appearance on Carlson’s program Thursday night, a discussion that was barely civil at its start quickly spun out of control, devolving into a shouting match between the Fox News host and the lawyer taking on President Donald Trump with a lawsuit to free porn star Stormy Daniels from her non-disclosure agreement on their relationship.

“I actually don’t have any interest in squabbling with you or name calling,” Carlson claimed, before asking Avenatti about his remarks on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, which the attorney said was tantamount to lining the U.S. border with 100,000 Russian soldiers.

“I wonder two things,” he added. “One, what you would do as president if that happened under your watch, and two, what you think Russia thinks watching public figures like you say that we’re at war with Russia? What effect do you think that has?”

Avenatti responded with a strong show of support for U.S. intelligence findings that meddling indeed occurred, voicing his frustration that “the president has sold out the United States for the benefit of Putin.”

As Carlson then shifted to questions on alleged spying on Trump’s campaign, it wasn’t long before Avenatti became irked that the host wasn’t talking about his case with Daniels instead, wondering when he would shift topics.

“Are we going to get to the facts of my clients case?” he asked, Carlson later telling him to “get a TV show. Then you can ask me a question.”

Eventually, the attorney got what he asked for, Carlson then focusing in on Daniels’ legal battle with Trump.

“What is the crime, the harm, the injury to your client by Donald Trump?” he asked, adding, “I’m not attacking stormy Daniels, I feel sorry for her.”

“You’ve attacked her for six months,” Avenatti shot back, Carlson saying he felt the lawyer “and others are exploiting her.”

“I think you demean her repeatedly,” Avenatti replied. “And I think you are a hypocrite.”

At one point Avenatti asked, “Why is it that you don’t call Donald Trump the ‘creepy porn president’? He’s the one that had sex with a 4-month-old son at home with my client without a condom?”
