Tucker Carlson Scolds Morning Joe for Kellyanne Conway Remarks in Segment Decrying ‘Media Hysteria’
Tucker Carlson briefly covered the big new report about President Trump allegedly revealing classified information to top Russian officials before moving on to the big topic of his A-block: “Media hysteria.”
Carlson, who also did a segment on “media hysteria” last week over the media reaction to the James Comey firing, focused on the information Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough shared about Kellyanne Conway on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today.
Brzezinski claimed that during the campaign, off the air, said “‘I need to take a shower’ because she disliked her candidate so much.”
Scarborough backed her up on that.
Carlson scolded them for disclosing private conversations and for violating Conway’s “zone of privacy.”
But he touched on what he believes is the media’s core philosophy when it comes to anything Trump:
“Many journalists believe it’s literally impossible to be unfair to Donald Trump or the people who work for him. Extremism in the pursuit of Trump is no vice. That’s the view in newsrooms and you hear it in conversations all around Washington, a city that voted 91 percent for Hillary Clinton last fall… They’ve succumbed to Trump hatred that is so intense, it has destroyed their judgment and in some cases affected their character.”
He said that both love and hate can impact what the media covers: “In the end, it blinds you completely.”
