Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk spoke to Meet the Press’ David Gregory Sunday morning and vowed to “find these bastards” who distributed leaflets in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dmoetsk earlier this week ordering Jewish citizens to report or face deportation.
“Today, in the morning, I made a clear statement and urged Ukrainian military and security forces and the Ukrainian Department of Homeland Security, urgently to find these bastards and bring them to justice,” Yatsenyuk said.
The fliers, which were reportedly distributed outside a synagogue in Donetsk by men in Russian Federation gear, appeared to be orders from Denis Pushilin, the self-proclaimed leader of a separatist movement that overtook several government buildings in the region. However, Pushilin denied any involvement in the fliers, and said they were the work of provocateurs looking to paint his movement as anti-Semitic.
