VIDEO: Protester Takes Rubber Bullet to the Crotch After Kicking Tear Gas Canister

A CBS News crew caught dramatic video of a protester taking a rubber bullet to the crotch after he kicked a tear gas canister toward riot police.

President Donald Trump held a campaign rally at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona Tuesday night, which was met with a few thousand protesters.

The protests stayed mostly peaceful, but after Trump supporters filtered out of the Convention Center at the end of the rally, a few violent clashes erupted and police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowds.

In the video caught by CBS, a gas-masked protester is seen running up and kicking a discharged tear gas canister away from his fellow protesters and toward a line of riot police marching towards them.

Just seconds later, a rubber bullet strikes the protester in the crotch, sending him to the floor. A fellow protester runs to his aid, and the two manage to escape to the sidewalk, as the riot police continue to march forward.

The unrest in Phoenix comes a week after the devastating violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, where an alt-right rally in support of Confederate monuments ended in a fatal white supremacist terror attack that killed one person and left 19 injured.
