Was This Obama’s ‘Worst Week Ever?’ Fox News’ Eric Bolling And Panel Make Their Case

Filling in for Sean Hannity tonight on Fox News, Eric Bolling took a look at some economic stories that led him to the conclusion that President Obama just had his “worst week ever.”

Bolling presented a list of factors, including that the economy shrank for the first time in three years, jobless benefit applications are up, and the unemployment rate is back up to 7.9%. He added that on top of all that, Obama is “disbanding its jobs council.”

His first guest, radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt concurred, claiming that “we are going into an Obama recession and the president has turned his back on the nation’s unemployed.”

But Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall found the whole idea of an Obama recession a bit suspect, pointing out with the Dow closing above 14,000 for the first time in over 5 years today it’s hard to say “we have a bad economy.” In addition, Marshall couldn’t understand why her more conservative colleagues were so upset that Obama was cutting his jobs council when it would effectively cut spending.

And for the second time today, Bolling attacked Scott Pelley and CBS News, this time for sugar-coating the bad economic news for President Obama.
