Because Brad Paisley’s foray into racial discourse went so well, Wednesday night he dipped into politics again when he and Carrie Underwood spoofed the Affordable Care Act’s federal exchange website at the Country Music Awards.
After “twerking” his back—Paisley thought it was a medical term, Underwood told him it was what people did at Luke Bryant concerns (#burn)—the two tried to sign him up for Obamacare. Underwood said she had started her application last Thursday, and was “almost done.”
While the website stalled, Paisley and Underwood sang “Obamacare By Morning,” set to the tune of “Amarillo by Morning,” by George Strait, Texas State University’s second-most famous alum. Strait won his third straight (sigh) “Entertainer of the Year” Award at the CMAs last night.
