On Wednesday, Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert connected the dots between the nation’s looming bacon shortage and a super-secret conspiracy set in place by the most fundamentalist of Jews: Muslims. This all circles back, Colbert explained, to Barack Obama. It turns out, then, that Rep. Louie Gohmert was absolutely correct when he accused “Barack Hussein Obama” of attempting to usher in a new Ottoman Empire.
Colbert gave us a taste of just what an empire might look like… until he was interrupted by a Turkish fighter by name of Moustafa.
In a scene reminiscent of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Yes, fine. Some of us are nerds and that’s perfectly natural.), Colbert was nearly seduced into Moustafa’s harem after partaking in some Turkish delight (probably a euphemism) until he fought him off with the most anti-Turkish of pastries… the humble croissant.
