A high speed police chase in Arizona ended in a head-on collision that sent the escapee’s truck flying.
Camera’s caught the end of a dramatic pursuit that started around 10 a.m. in downtown Phoenix after a man — identified as 31-year-old Mitchell Timothy Taebel — driving a red Jeep refused to stop for police.
Cops followed Taebel as he raced along the I-10, before exiting the highway around 10:50 a.m. and heading towards Arizona State University, according to a CBS affiliate.
After briefly stopping at a red light in Tempe, Taebel was rammed by one police car, but then sped around the traffic and through an intersection.
After weaving through traffic at high speed, Taebel eventually met his match: an car heading in the opposite direction, which he rammed into head on, sending his SUV flipping through the air.
After his car came to a stop on the road, Taebel hopped out of the passenger side, and began pacing around — before officers caught up to him, treating him to an unceremonious capture.
