WATCH: Hot Mic Catches F-Bomb During CNN’s Somber Boston Memorial Coverage

An unfortunate hot mic moment marred the tail end of CNN’s coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing one-year anniversary memorial event Tuesday afternoon. Just as the somber processional was concluding, an off-camera voice, perhaps belonging to a cameraman or reporter, could be heard talking about the the camera shots being used before saying, “I was like, fuck!”

According to the reaction on Twitter, the same voice could be heard on Boston’s CBS affiliate WBZ, ABC affiliate WCVB and the New England Cable News network (NECN), meaning all stations including CNN were using the same feed for the event (and none were prepared to hit the censor button).

Ultimately, this f-bomb wasn’t quite as a defiant and inspiring as the one Boston Red Sox star David “Big Papi” Ortiz let fly on the air during the first game at Fenway Park after the bombing last year.
