Chris Wallace and Laura Ingraham Have Testy Clash Over Winning Democrats: ‘That’s a Mischaracterization’
There was a tense moment on Fox News Tuesday night when Chris Wallace and Laura Ingraham had a dispute about whether Democrats will go even further left now that the midterms are over.
The conversation began with Ingraham saying that conservative Congressional candidate “aren’t going anywhere” unless they latch themselves to President Trump‘s populist agenda wholeheartedly. Ingraham predicted that Democrats will further embrace the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of their party, though Wallace pushed back and said that was “unfair to say” and a “complete mischaracterization.”
Tensions flared as Ingraham ceded the floor to Wallace, who argued against the far left “caricature” and said the country should wait and see just what sorts of policies they embrace going forward. He also noted that if Trump is given credit for the GOP maintaining control of the Senate, Democrats must also get credit for taking control of the House of Representatives.
