WATCH LIVE: 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

One of America’s great traditions rolls through the streets of New York City this Thursday: the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

For the 92nd time, the traditional favorites — Snoopy, Spongebob Squarepants, and Clifford the Big Red Dog — will all feature at the parade.

And the record low temperatures in New York this Thanksgiving are not expected to hinder the musical acts. Diana Ross — who’s headlining — John Legend, Martina McBride and the Muppets from Sesame Street are all scheduled to perform during the three hour broadcast.

Other celebrities are expected to make surprise appearances throughout the morning, including Tina Fey.

None of the attractions, though, be they human or balloon, can possibly compare to the man who closes the show each year — Jolly Old St. Nick. Yes, Santa Claus gets top billing in the Macy’s, as always. For when Santa comes rolling through New York’s Herald Square to the roar of a massive crowd sometime around 11:55 a.m. ET, the Christmas season will begin in earnest.

The parade begins 9 a.m. ET and will conclude at 12 noon. Watch above, via Verizon — and happy Thanksgiving!
