WATCH LIVE: Brett Kavanaugh’s Fourth Day of Supreme Court Confirmation Hearings

Brett Kavanuagh will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee today for his fourth round of hearings concerning his nomination to the Supreme Court. The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.

It’s been a tumultuous week for the judge since his hearings have been marked with bitter partisan fights, massive protests and controversy about the White House’s document dump. Some of the most prominent clashes so far have revolved around whether he lied to Congress in 2006, his position on Roe V. Wade, and whether President Trump‘s power to pardon can be used on himself.

Yesterday, Kavanaugh’s hearing drew a lot of attention thanks to the moment when Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) fought with his GOP colleagues by promising to release the committee’s confidential documents for the public to review. There was also a great deal of intrigue when Kavanaugh was asked about an email that raised questions about what he really knew about warrantless surveillance programs during the George W. Bush presidency.
