WATCH: Cliven Bundy Defends ‘Negro’ Comments in Incredibly Bizarre Press Conference

Rancher Cliven Bundy will hold a press conference to address comments he made about “negros” being “better off as slaves” during an earlier meeting with press and supporters on his Nevada ranch. The conservative hero has come under fire Thursday for his remarks. It is expected to begin just after 4pm ET.

UPDATE (4:45pm ET): Bundy took questions from the press after first pretending not to know why so much additional media had arrived at his ranch this afternoon. He defended the comments he made about “negros” by stressing the fact that he was just “wondering” if African-Americans were “better off as slaves,” and is still “wondering.” He said he does not know for a fact that they were.

The rancher also addressed reactions from conservative media figures like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, who both repudiated his remarks on the radio earlier today.
