One day after testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will sit down before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Kerry’s push for the U.S. to intervene militarily in Syria’s civil war led to some testy exchanges on Tuesday, with Rand Paul grilling his former colleague over whether the administration will honor a congressional rejection of their plans.
Hagel and Kerry will likely face similar grilling from House members skeptical of military force against the Assad regime.
