In a reprise of last Wednesday’s House testimony, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will appear before the Senate Finance Committee and testify on the troubled HealthCare.gov rollout. The hearing is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Sebelius will likely face questions on everything from the construction of the website to the security functions to the nature of the Affordable Care Act itself.
During last week’s dramatic—and sometimes weird—hearing before the House, Sebelius took responsibility for the malfunctioning website, but also defended the adminstration’s ability to get the website up and running in time to make Obamacare viable in 2014.
CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner told the committee yesterday that the website was improving.
