WATCH LIVE: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Holds Rare Press Briefing Amid White House Turmoil

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a press briefing at 2 p.m. EST today, which marks her first presser in 19 days.

Sanders will likely face numerous questions about the anonymous administration senior official who penned an op-ed for the New York Times listing his grievances against President Donald Trump.

The press secretary has already called the op-ed writer “pathetic, reckless, and selfish” and released the following statement, which included a phone number to the Times‘ editorial board:

“The media’s wild obsession with the identity of the anonymous coward is tarnishing the reputation of thousands of great Americans who proudly serve our country and work for President Trump… If you want to know who this gutless loser is, call the failing NYT, They are the only ones complicit in this deceitful act.”

As for the lack of press briefings lately, Sanders spent just under four hours talking to reporters from behind the White House podium in 13 appearances in the months of June, July and August. Comparatively, ABC News found that Barack Obama’s press secretary Josh Earnest and his deputies spent 39 hours across on 35 press briefings in the last summer of his administration.
