President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin took questions from reporters in Russia ahead of their one-on-meeting today.
The presser lasted only a short time, with Putin taking the first question, and Trump getting the final word.
Trump said to reporters that the two leaders would be talking about China and nuclear weapons, and congratulated Putin on the successful World Cup.
He also said that the United States and Russia have “frankly not been getting along too well for the last number of years,” but stressed that he thinks that getting along is a “good thing.”
Unlike at breakfast last week during the NATO conference, President Trump brought up no contentious issues or any matters which might upset Vladimir Putin.
