At last, the moment of truth. President Trump and Vladimir Putin are currently holding their first face-to-face meeting with each other at the G20 Summit.
In the press conference before the discussion, Trump spoke about how he’s had “good talks” with Putin, and that it was an “honor” to sit with the Russian president.
After the two shook hands, Putin said through a translator that he was “delighted” to meet Trump since their previous phone conversations were “never enough.” Putin went on to say he was looking forward to the “positive results” the bilateral meeting would have for their international political interests.
Trump has already drawn major flak since he reportedly has no plans to confront Putin about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
