WATCH: Russian Jet Crash Caught On Car’s Dash Cam Video

New video has surfaced on Reddit of the Russian plane crash that killed four people Saturday. Dashboard cameras placed in Russian cars are responsible for capturing the incident.

Eight crew members from Red Wings airlines were onboard when the plane swerved off the runway at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport. There were no passengers.

The plane, a Russian-built Tu-204, slammed through a highway barrier. Police spokesman Gennady Bogachyov said, “The plane went off the runway, broke through the barrier and caught fire.” One witness told Russia’s Rossiya-24 that he saw a man thrown from the plane and another described pulling victims out of the wreckage.

Yelena Krylova, chief spokeswoman for the airport, said in a televised interview, “The plane split into three pieces.” Russian officials are still determining what caused the crash, but preliminary findings indicate it was a pilot error.
