WATCH: Trump Gives Reporters a Red Card in Meeting With FIFA Head

President Donald Trump, during an Oval Office meeting with the head of FIFA, jokingly gave reporters gathered in the room a red card.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino met with Trump at the White House on Tuesday to discuss the 2026 World Cup, which is being held in the United States. At one point, Infantino presented Trump with a yellow and red card to explain their use in matches (yellow card is given as a warning, red is used to expel players from the field, like when Manchester United legend Roy Keane exacted revenge on Alf-Inge Håland with a bone-crunching knee-high tackle that ended his career).

In the Oval Office, Infantino handed a red card to Trump, and the U.S. president jokingly waved it at reporters in the room, drawing laughter. Infantino politely demonstrated that the card is meant to be held up straight, not tossed like a frisbee. Trump successfully showed reporters the red card on the second attempt.
