WATCH: Washington Post‘s Josh Dawsey Battles Sarah Sanders Over Shifting Don Jr. Stories in Tense Standoff

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was buried beneath an avalanche of questions today when reporters grilled her for sticking by her story about Donald Trump Jr., even after President Donald Trump‘s legal team stated that her statement was false.

Sanders took a lot of flak yesterday for dodging questions about how Trump’s lawyers said she was wrong to claim that the president had nothing to do with the White House’s first, misleading statement about his son’s 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer. Reporters cornered Sanders with this topic again today, with Washington Post‘s Josh Dawsey asking her “do you think your statement was accurate? Your statement, not his. Was it accurate or inaccurate?”

Sanders took umbrage with the insinuation, accusing Dawsey of trying to lure her into a back and forth on the issue.

“It’s not a back and forth. We just want to know if it was accurate or not,” Dawsey said. “You said something from the podium. Was it accurate or not?”

“I think you all know I’m an honest person who works extremely hard to provide you with accurate information at all times,” Sanders said. “I’m going to continue to do that, but I’m not going to engage on matters that deal with the outside counsel.”
