On a night dominated by Maine Senator Olympia Snowe’s planned retirement and the contraception controversy, The Rachel Maddow Show notched an impressive 292,000 viewers in the demo on Wednesday night. Rachel Maddow‘s program was the highest rated show on MSNBC for the night and also beat out CNN’s Piers Morgan handily in demo and total viewers.
In other Wednesday highlights, Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor very nearly tied with NBC’s Rock Center in total viewers with 2.7 million last night. Rock Center had 2,748,000, while O’Reilly’s show racked up 2,682,000 total viewers.
