WH Correspondent on Trump’s Threat to Yank Press Credentials: ‘Take Your Lumps Like a Man’

On Wednesday on CNN, Playboy White House Correspondent Brian Karem went off on President Donald Trump‘s early morning tweet suggesting that since the media kept saying unflattering things about him that maybe they should “take away credentials.”

“The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake),” Trump kvetched. “Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?”

In response, Karem suggested that Trump needed to man up.

“Take your lumps like a man, I mean for heaven’s sake every president faces this,” Karem advised POTUS, noting he should be crowing about a victory, not whining about criticism. “Shut up and take your medicine, act like a man, for heaven’s sake, every President takes criticism.”

He then noted that everyone in the press room is just trying to do their jobs and questioned what a Trump-picked newsroom would actually look like if you could only write nice things about the president or risk being banned.

“What does that do to a free press?” Karem asked.
