WH Spox Clarifies Trump Comments on Rosenstein: ‘No Change in the President’s Confidence’

White House principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah clarified today that President Trump still has confidence in Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, following the coy remarks from the President.

When asked if he still has confidence in the Deputy AG––following multiple reports that Trump has vented about him and asked him last month if he was on his team––the President said today, “You figure that one out.”

“There’s been no change in the President’s confidence in the DAG,” Shah told Erin Burnett tonight.

He continued, “No changes are going to be made at the Department of Justice. We fully expect Rod Rosenstein to continue on as Attorney General.”

Burnett then moved on to asking him about the memo and the way President Trump was hyping it up. Watch above, via CNN.
