MSNBC’s The Cycle hosts Touré and Krystal Ball were absent from a regular promotional segment that the pair does with MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts. Given the criticism that Touré drew after he made racially inflammatory comments about the Romney campaign on Thursday, his absence from Robert’s set today is sure to spark speculation.
The hosts of The Cycle do a tease at the end of Roberts’ straight news program where they discuss the topics that they will discuss on their 3 p.m. program. Today, however, only two of the four cycle hosts showed up to tease their program – S.E. Cupp and Steve Kornacki.
Touré caused a firestorm of controversy on Thursday when he accused Mitt Romney of engaging in the “niggerization” of President Barack Obama by calling his campaign “angry.” Ball agreed with Touré by saying that Romney’s words seemed “loaded.”
